Meet The Team

Scott White

Scott is Santa for grown-ups. I mean is there anyone more valuable than the person that delivers beer? He is also one of the many creative people around the brewery who make our Village so unique.  He is a talented musician whose award-winning five-piece alt-rock group 36? has toured through Canada and overseas. They just signed a record deal(!!) and are about to set out on tour again. We are definitely going to miss him while he’s gone on tour, but are super stoked for him and his band.
Fun fact: Until he bought a car this year he rode his bike to work at Village almost every day for a year, even in the DEAD of winter. Kudos to Scott!

How did you get your start in the industry?

A friend of my ex worked on the bottling line so I sent in a resume and I was hired!

What does your day to day at Village look like?

I spend the morning delivering large orders to distributors and warehouses in Calgary, then I determine whether deliveries will go in the van or the truck, then Zach and I build the orders and take off for the day. Most of our day is spent driving around the city and delivering beer to bars and liquor stores.

What is the best part of your job?

Its hard to choose just one thing but I really enjoy being out on the road by myself, listening to the CBC and community radio stations.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I’m a musician and I perform and write music in several local bands. I like to ride my bike and enjoy the great outdoors, but also enjoy a heavy dose of great TV shows and movies.

Favourite Village beer?

I always enjoy a nice Weezy (wit and squeeze mixed 50/50).

Current song on repeat?

Really into the album “Mr. Finish Line” by Vulfpeck.

Who are you cheering for?

My band haha. We just signed a record deal and we want to get more streams than Drake.

Hidden Talent?

I can touch my nose with my tongue.
