Neil Zeller has been a wonderful friend of Village Brewery since the beginning. He was one of the first artists to contribute his photography for use on our variety pack in 2012. He's someone who's been around for the entire brewery ride and building his business as we were. What better artist to have showcasing their artwork while we celebrate our 5th anniversary on December 21st.
One of our partners Jim Button met Neil when they were building the brewery from scratch and bringing our first website to life. Whilst looking for some iconic Calgary photos for our website, Jim had posted on social media that the winner of the photography submissions would receive a flat of beer... of course Neil sent us a beautiful photograph of the Peace Bridge. He started hanging out and networking at our hump day socials and it has been a great relationship ever since. He was a furniture salesman at that point and had the dream of becoming a professional photographer. Eventually he started connecting with many of the creatively rich people in our city. Had his artwork up in our taproom and gave us a lot of credit for helping kick start his career. With a lot of hard work and determination on his part of course, it serves as a classic example of how beer can do good and bring people together.
Neil Zeller is exhibiting his artwork once again in our Tap Room Gallery for the months of December and January with his opening exhibition scheduled for Wednesday from 2pm-8pm! All his artwork will be for sale over the two months through the brewery, or if you'd like to purchase them online please click the link below!
