Pride week is a time to celebrate equality, inclusiveness and belonging across the community; at Village, these are values we take seriously. We always say it takes a village, and sometimes these values can start with something as simple as sharing a pint or two.
Events across the city this week prove that Calgarians care, and community members are coming together to show support for equality.
On Friday, September 1st at 6:30 pm we will be gathering in the Village Brewery tap room to share stories and a featured cask created by the Lionheart ACAD group (their story will be featured). Village Lionhearts will be a night of bravery and acceptance as we celebrate the proud members of our Village.
Calgary is a proud community. And it is people like those at Calgary Pride that bring our community even closer. Sunday, September 3rd, we will march down 6th avenue and finish at Prince's Island Park to celebrate equality with music, friends and a beer or two.
We hope you will join us on Sunday together, to let others know that ours is a village that includes everyone.
