Village Radio collects and shares stories from inspiring Calgarians

Village Brewery, in collaboration with Pilot Audio and Kelly Brothers, introduces new podcasts to YYC

Suggested tweet: Combining great taste with inspiring @Calgary stories – @VillageBrewery is set to launch Village Radio:

CALGARY, AB – There are so many conversations and stories taking place in our great city. We figure it’s time that we start capturing these stories and stick them in the story cooler so our community can be refreshed and inspired whenever they thirst for creativity. Hence, Village Radio – the brainchild of Josh Gwilliam, Dave Kelly and Michael Bernard Fitzgerald – a channel for three Calgarians who love nothing more than to share a great story. Well okay, they may love a few things more, but for the purposes of this release, they love nothing more.

What:          Village Radio launch and taping

Where:        Commonwealth Lounge - 731 10 Avenue SW

When:         January 18, 2013

Who:           Dave Kelly interviewing Jill Belland (City), Darren Ollinger (New Black Centre, X92.9), Mandy Stobo (Bad Portraits) and in honour of the Calgary2012 wrap-up a tandem interview with Karen Ball and Michael Green

Why:            Because Calgary is as full of great stories as great beer – let’s enjoy the abundance.

This also happens to be the day Village Radio podcasts will be launched on Villagebrewery.com. On the site you’ll be able to listen and subscribe to podcast interviews with Pete Emes (Small Town DJ's/ Commonwealth/Hi-Fi), Jennifer Allyson (Art House), Jonathan Denis (MLA, Calgary Acadia) and Jim Button (Village Brewery). Plans are to introduce new interviews on an ongoing basis. Stay tuned.

Village Brewery presently has three brands for your enjoyment: Village Blonde, Village Blacksmith and the Village Wit. These beers continue to grow in sales volume and will maintain their position as our core brands…until of course one of the seasonal beers muster up the courage to knock them out of the lineup. Village Monk, our winter seasonal, met with an outpouring (get it? pouring) of positive response and sold out setting up a possible return.

Please remember, don’t be the Village Idiot. Please drink responsibly.
