Check out what Calgary’s emerging artists have created during the school year at the bi-annual Show + Sale presented by the Alberta University of the Arts Students’ Association – AUArts SA (formerly Alberta College of Art + Design Students’ Association – ACADSA).
The Alberta University of the Arts Students’ Association Spring Show + Sale is a public art market that showcases student work from the university’s departments including Painting, Drawing, Glass, Jewellery + Metals, Fibre, Printmaking, Sculpture, Media Arts, Photography, Ceramics, and Design. All proceeds support the ACAD student body.
The event usually takes place in November and March of each year. This unique public art market invites you to view and purchase over 3000 pieces of handmade works.
Whatever your preferred form, you’ll find it here: paintings, photographs, drawings, prints, ceramics, glass, fibre, jewellery, sculpture and more!
The First Night Fundraiser
The First Night Fundraiser offers you an exclusive, private viewing and sale of over 3,000 original pieces, showcasing work from each of ACAD’s disciplines of study. Whatever your preferred medium, you’ll find it here: Paintings, photographs, drawings, prints, glass, fibre, jewellery, sculpture, ceramics and more!
Along with local creatives, arts supporters and light refreshments from National Beer Hall and and a cash bar supported by Village Brewery.and a cash bar supported by Village Brewery, you can expect advanced access to over 3,000 original artworks and conversation with the artists in attendance.
New VIP Advanced Access: Enjoy an exclusive personalized tour, hosted by an expert faculty or staff member that allows for first access to artworks for purchase. Learn what to look for when purchasing and collecting artworks, and what goes into their creation. Get to know what it is like to be a student at AUArts and hear a firsthand perspective on educating and supporting artists, craftspeople and designers in their creative practices.

Show + Sale: Entrance by Donation
Proceeds from ticket purchases directly support AUArts students with programming that includes entrepreneurial training through seminars and workshops and funds student scholarships. Students receive the proceeds from the sale of their work during the event, with a portion supporting AUArts SA’s student programming.
